Wish I would have read this as soon as I got it! Life has a way of doing that sometimes. This morning I sat down and read How to Relieve Back Pain for Good. I'm thankful that I don't have all the maladies!!! But he nailed me 100% on what I do have that gives me pains in the posterior and down my legs. Not fun. But now there is hope! And the hope is all on me...will I do it? I darn sure am going to give it my best. I'm tired of pain!

What I appreciated the most was that Dr. Bedenian was straight to the point. He describes and then he gives options. No fooling around...just give me the facts, Jack/aka/Robertino. And he does! It's an easy read, straight forward and now it is up to me to do my part. I've been lax but I'll take my Kindle with me and head for the gym. I am eager to show my yoga instructor what I should avoid at all costs. She will be delighted that I'm taking this seriously. Thanks, Doc!

How to Relieve Back Pain for Good provides a great framework for addressing back pain in a rational and drug-free manner. Dr. Bedenian offers a comprehensive program of stretches, exercise and environmental considerations that helped me to strengthen my back and reduce pain without medications. One of the aspects that I liked best about this book was the information about how to tell when back pain was an indicator of something more serious. Although some of the illustrations were not that detailed, the book contained links to helpful videos and other information to answer any questions that arose. I would also note that this book was written from a European perspectIve, so some of the euphemisms are a little different and some phrasing might seem a little awkward to the American ear, but that doesn't detract from the value of this book.
In the U.S. lower back pain is one of the most common complaints. Many people feel that they are doomed to a sedentary life along with taking pain killers. Simply feeling there is nothing they can do! Well, nothing could be further from the truth and Dr. Robertino Bedenian has mapped out an easy to follow regimen for healing back pain. It is obvious after reading Dr. Bedenian’s book and using his exercises, he knows what he is talking about!

Mayo Clinic studies point out that most people will experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. Lower back pain is experienced by sedentary people (those who indulge in a marathon of sitting) as well as highly-trained athletes.

You may think that as an athlete myself, because I am running, weight training and exercising which involves dynamic movements that produce tension in my lower back, I should have back pain! Without properly stretching (yoga poses) the answer would be yes! Because if I did not stretch and release my tight muscles, injury would occur over time.

Dr. Bedenian has given you the reader the tools to use to return your body back into balance. The human body itself is an amazing piece of machinery and if treated properly will serve you well without pain!

The exercises in Dr. Bedenian will show you how to maintain proper posture, tighten abdominal muscles, strengthen your glutes and allow your joints to work more efficiently because they are not overcompensating for the lack of stability in your muscles.

All in all I highly recommend this book so that you can learn how to use preventive care for a happy spine and a healthy lower back!

I just finished this book and found a lot of great information on how to be back pain free!

I work on a horse farm and have experienced sciatica pain, lower back pain, groin muscle pull, neck pain, and numerous pulled muscles over the years.
From many tiring days I have certainly had poor posture and used myself incorrectly so stressing and unbalancing my body. The work I do needs a strong back. I am 58 years old so it is even more important now that I should take care of my body.

Since the author already wrote the book I won't write another in this review (lol).
I do want to mention how well he explains what should be more or less of a concern to you when experiencing pain and even what is natural pain and part of the process like in stretching exercises.
The details on how to do the exercises and the pictures are very helpful and easy to follow. I felt throughout the book that he was not only teaching but talking as a friend to me.
He also is clear on what exercises NOT to use!
I am a firm believer that how we think is affecting our health and he touches on that as a very important part of staying pain free. Bravo!

The only area I can not advocate as a Christian is the use of certain alternative therapies that he mentions such as yoga and acupuncture.

I do consider chiropractic and massage therapy as excellent therapies however and have received chiropractic treatment myself with great success.
I give this a 5 star rating since the information and exercises shown will bring great relief and keep you pain free without the use of those two alternate therapies.
I am proof of that having carefully used these types of stretches and exercises in the past and am pain free today. I have not even needed a chiropractor for many years.

The author touches on stress, beds, nerves and circulation also, but lightly, and gives just enough information to help discern if some thing needs to be changed.

I found this a good resource for a layperson like me to be educated and find helpful advice for back pain relief without the expense necessarily of a medical doctor.
